Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our Midlothian-288 team!
Pay range is $20-$25/hour based on experience.
Hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.
The Insurance Coordinator verifies and updates insurance information to patient accounts. This role also files claims, completes pretreatment estimates, and follows up with the insurance companies in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
Verify insurance and update patient account prior to the appointment
Update insurance carrier notes and coverage tables
Point of contact for patients and staff on insurance
File all insurance claims daily
Reconcile insurance claims to patient accounts
Work with insurance companies on refunds
File all pre-authorizations daily
Follow up on pre-authorizations aged 30+ days
Coordinate with doctor, hygiene, or specialist coordinator once pre-authorization is received
Analyze insurance aged reports (except if that office has centralized insurance)
Minimum Qualifications
3 or more years of dental office experience
